Flounder Are Snapping Bro!

Flounder Are Snapping Bro!

Absolutely beautiful day today gets followed by another beautiful day tomorrow…..but the weekend looks like crap.  I’ve been working on the floor in my house for the past several days, but with the weekend forecast and the number of pics of flounder I got today, the floor is getting put on hold and I’m going fishing.

I usually put the offshore fishing at the beginning of the report and move closer to shore as it reads on, but today the flounder fishing seemed to be so good that I decided to move it to the top.  Whether anglers were fishing on a party boat in the ocean or the bay, a charter boat on the ocean or the bay or in their own boat flounder were snapping today.  The first set of pics that I got was from young “Eastern Shore” Joey Marowski with some nice flounder that were caught on the Bay Bee.  There were some fish to 24″ caught on this morning’s trip and another nice fish this afternoon.

Captain John Prather of Ocean City Guide Service had a nice day of fishing today as well when he put his crews on some fun catch and release shark fishing on one trip and six nice keeper flounder on another.

Captain Dave Caffrey of On the Run Charters found the flounder today on a couple of trips.  Captain Dave fished the bay with Gulp baits and put this young lady on a 3.5 pound flounder and the guys on fish to as big as 4 pounds.

The Calico Jack with Captain Mike Giardina found some flatties today too putting his customers on some nice fish throughout the day.

The Morning Star with Captain Monty Hawkins was on the rip today, and yep, he found some flounder.  “Flounder” George Henning came from behind to be high hook with three nice keepers, John Neidermair, Brycen Stuart and Carson Askey also put some fish in the box.

Captain Brad McCabe of Bay Time Charters put flounder in the box on two trips today.  This morning Captain Brad had Justin, Courtney and young Addi May Ames out for some family fun where Addi caught her first ever flounder of 18 1/2″.  This afternoon Captain Brad helped Nicole Sunday and Karl Bailey find two keepers up to 18″.

Cayman Man sent me this photo of Yvonne who used a Gulp bait to catch a nice 21″ keeper flounder in the east channel.

I got a mixed bag of reports from offshore anglers today with the majority seeing tough fishing.  There were some white marlin, tuna and mahi caught, but it was scattered.  The All In with Captain Scott Stapleford had a nice day however putting seven nice tunas in the box.

Paul Lebling of the Spring Mix II reported fishing was kind of slow today, but Captain Chris Watkowski and mates Ayrton “The Kayak Kid” Pryor and Jacob Lewis did find their anglers 10 nice mahi at the lumpy bottom inside the Washington Canyon.

Captain Jeff Coats of Pitboss Fishing fresh back from his trip to Icast got right back in the swing of things with some fun catch and release shark fishing action.  Elijah and Abigail Raike along with their dad had some fun fishing cut bait to release 17 Atlantic sharpnose, spinner and sandbar sharks.

Captain Marc Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing just left for a night trip, but not before being on the water this morning and putting his shooters on some great action for southern rays.
