My boy Austin Ensor who is Captain of the Primary Search and leader of the #gang did something really cool this summer and now he wants to do something even more cool!!
Austin (along with some buddies from the Ocean City Marlin Club) was the originator of the first ever East / West Games this summer and he wants to do something really cool to give back to some local veterans. The East / West Games was a points based season-long fishing tournament with two teams pitting their fishing skills against each other in a fun event where the main goal was to show some solidarity and give back to the OCMD fishing community. In the end, the East “won” the “Games” with more points, but everyone had a great time at a season end party where there was no loser. Marli and No Quarter were top boats on the East side and Wrecker and Billfisher were top boats on the West. This was a really fun event for everyone that participated, there was one hell of a party and they raised some money for the greater good. And now for the greater good….
Captain Austin and the participants from the East / West Games are giving away some FREE fishing trips on board the Ocean City Guide Service with Captain John Prather during the 2018 fishing season. Captain Austin will reply and once he gets enough entries he will pick some winners and send some worthy veterans on a fishing trip with Captain John. There will be absolutely no catch…..and no charge. You just show up!
I think that this is a really cool thing for Austin and the #gang to do and I couldn’t agree more that it’s the least we can do to thank some folks that put their lives on the line so we can do the things that we want to do in the greatest country on Earth.
