Fussy Bite

Fussy Bite

We had another great day on Delmarva today with light winds and warmer than normal temperatures for this time of year, but its Monday so there were WAY less people fishing.  Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star was the only Fish in OC fleet member to steer the boat east.

After a long string of multi-limit 10 hour trips—even several boat limits—today we only had Granpa Bill Keefer of Mechanicsburg PA do the deed.
A fussy bite for some reason! Even with sea bass nearly 30 feet thick under the boat – a tepid bite.. Very poor on jigs – better on bait.
Back at it again Thursday, Friday, & Saturday with 10 hour sea bass trips after a couple days of reef work. Try to get back on a roll.
Tim Calimer of Waynesboro, PA won the pool with an 18 inch sea bass (and was one fish shy his limit!) Also pictured are Mike Grybos of Towson MD – Brent Sanders also of Waynesboro – and Chuck Burnham of Bel Air, MD.
