We are getting into some of the best fishing of the entire year, and with less traffic on the water it is also one of the best times to go fishing. Almost every fish on our fishing calendar is available right now except for the bluefin tuna and the spotted sea trout.
The trout will more than likely show up in the next few weeks, and we just may get another run of bluefin as they migrate south later this fall. If you notice the calendar, August and September are the last two months that almost every fish that we target in and around Ocean City can be caught, and September is the best of it. If you’ve been waiting to book a trip until the fishing gets good, now is the time!
Captain Joe Drosey on board Rhonda’s Osprey out of Sunset Marina had a stellar day offshore today. Captain Joe put this party on a beautiful 150 pound bigeye and 22 gaffer size mahi.
Here is a pic of the kids posing with the big “eyeball” all on their own.
The Ocean City Guide Service with Captain John Prather saw a bunch of flounder come over the gunwale again today. Captain John put his crew on some nice keepers on an inshore wreck with strip baits.
The fish pool winner on the Judith M today was this nice 22″ flounder that the crew put this lucky angler on this morning.
