Going Deep For Some Tunas

Going Deep For Some Tunas

It was a little breezy out there today, but it was still fishable in the bay and the ocean, and we had some boats coming back from overnighters with a hall of tuna.
Captain, Willie Zimmerman and the crew of the RoShamBo headed deep to the Hudson Canyon on Sunday and returned early thanks to the box being full of 18 yellowfin tuna and over 50 mahi.

Anglers Jimmy, Ryan, Eric, Chris, Rob, Marc and Annalee joined owner Steve Smith and Matt and Steve Magassey for another overnight trip to the Hudson Canyon, where they boxed a bunch of yellow tuna from 50 to 65 pounds.

Captain Tony Bautista of Saltwater adventures had a nice day in the ocean today with a pile of mahi and some blue line tile fish.

Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky break charters had another great day with two trips that ended with sheepshead and bluefish in the fish box.

Captain Dave Caffery of On the Run had a short afternoon trip today that resulted in sheepshead, tautog and Flounder for his anglers.
