Check out the Daily Catch at Sunset Marina!
There was this crazy bright light up in the eastern sky this morning that was warm and shiny and very strange. As I was coming out of church later I heard someone mention that it was the sun. Pretty cool!
Despite having a little breeze, today was the nicest day we’ve had in a while. I had a feeling that I would get a couple fishing reports and I was right. Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break was out there on the jetty and OC inlet and had a nice day. Captain Jason put his folks on lots of throwback striper and flounder action and put these sheepshead in the cooler.
Big Bird Cropper had Shaun Flaherty and Korey out on the water today and they had a great time “dredging” the route 50 bridge and throwing Roy Rigs. The guys threw back several short stripers and put two keepers in the slot of 28″ to 31″ in the box with a nice bluefish.
Before last week’s terrible weather, Captain James Coane and the crew of Reel Current were tearing it up offshore. This trip saw a blue marlin and two white marlin releases with a pile of nice mahi. Hopefully the fish are still out there when the fleet can get back out tomorrow.
