Good Day Before a Few Days Off

Good Day Before a Few Days Off

We had a gorgeous day in Ocean City today with light winds, comfortable temperatures and sunny skies, but the wind is about to blow.  The forecast for the coming days both inshore and offshore is for the wind to pick up tomorrow and blow as hard as 25 – 30 knots with gusts to 40 some days next week.  There will probably still be some inshore fishing going on, but it looks like offshore interests will be curbed until either Wednesday or Thursday.  You never know what Mother Nature will do from day to day, but that’s what the weatherman is saying right now.  During today’s nice conditions we had some good fishing both inshore and offshore with some more white marlin showing up and some good flounder fishing in the ocean and in the bay.

Captain Luke Blume of the C Boys along with first mate Jon Henry and second mate Joshua Blume had a good day fishing the Washington Canyon.  Captain Luke put Mike Esposito and his crew on 28 mahi and Eric Guraleczka’s first white marlin release.

There was some good bottom fishing on ocean structure for the anglers on board the Angler today with Captain Chris Mizurak.  Captain Chris saw several keeper flounder and some nice sea bass come over the rail on today’s trip and he also saw a water spout over the ocean.

Captain Chase Eberle of Chaisin’ Tides Charters had some good inshore fishing last night.  Captain Chase put his crew on some nice shark fishing and some really good bluefish action.

The Bay Bee out of the Ocean City Fishing Center has been having some good flounder fishing lately with keepers coming from several different trips the past couple of days.

Captain Drew Zerbe of the Tortuga put this angler over a nice keeper sized trigger fish on today’s trip.

Sherri Martinek caught her first keeper of the year today while fishing with her husband Captain Todd “Crabgrass” Martinek.

Captain Marc Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing had some good shooting today for cow nosed and southern rays including a big 82 pound southern.
