The wind started blowing a little bit ago and roughed things up, and it’s going to blow even harder tomorrow. Looks like the next day of fishing in the ocean might be Tuesday, and it looks like it’s going to be cooling down quite a bit this week as well.
Steve Hadley, Joe Schweiger, Bill Romeo and Michael Rivera had the ocean to themselves today in the rough conditions, but they toughed it out and ended up with some yellowfin tuna, a few mahi and some “skippys” for a nice day on the ocean.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters has been having a field day in the OC Inlet lately and today was no different. Captain Jason treated his anglers on different trips to sheepshead, flounder and even a nice trout.
Caleb Powell fished with his Dad and “Mr. Matt” in the East Channel today where they used Deadly Doubles and some bunker and landed five nice keeper flounder including Matt’s nice 25″ doormat.
Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star held it close to the beach on today’s trip.
