Registration for our Ocean City Inshore Classic Tournament is tomorrow afternoon at the Sunset Marina activity room starting at 5 PM. Last year we had 50 boats and paid out over $23,000….hopefully we get there or better this year. The first 50 boats to register receive tournament goodie buckets and we’ll have this year’s tee shirt available for sale. Hope to see you there!
Captain Andrew Dotterweich and his crew on board Fish ON had a great final day here in OC with a pile of fillets at Sunset Marina. Fish ON had nine yellowfin tuna and some mahi in the Washington Canyon.
The offshore fishing the past couple of days has been really good down in the Washington Canyon with some yellowfin tuna, swordfish, mahi and blueline tilefish all ending up in fish boxes. Yesterday and the day before, Captain Willie Zimmerman of the RoShamBo had great days with all of those species on the dock at the Ocean City Fishing Center.
Captain James Coane of the Reel Current had a good day down in the Washington yesterday too with eight yellowfin tuna going home with his anglers. The weather was nice and the fish were biting.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break has been all over the sheepshead the past several days and today was no different. Captain Jason had great luck with sand fleas on the bottom around the south jetty and lined up another nice catch of “convict fish”.
