We had warm temperatures and sunny skies in the area today, but the wind was blowing hard so ocean fishing was pretty non existent. There has been some decent flounder fishing when the water is clean in the back bay and there are some keepers being caught by some.
Captain Dave Caffrey of On the Run Charters has seen some good flounder fishing in both the bay and the ocean with keeper sized fish coming from both. Today it was some keeper flounder from the back bay with fish over 18″, and yesterday it was a boat limit of nice fish from the ocean with some very fat fish in the mix. Captain Dave mentioned his Deadly Tackle spinning rods are doing great for his customers in the bay.
Mark Debinski of Bluewater Advisory fished with Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters today and had several throwback flounder and this keeper fish from the OC Inlet.
