Check out the Daily Catch at Sunset Marina!
I just finished up day 2 of my annual Massachusetts flounder trip and have a bunch of great fishing to report from here and from back home in OC. Here in Massachusetts flounder fishing was great with two limits in a row and some very nice fish. We didn’t keep anything under 18″ in our two days of fishing and we had several fish in the 5 to 7 pound range. We didn’t have any double digit fish on this trip, but Zach Webb did catch a pretty 9 pounder. It was another great trip to the Nantucket Shoals!

Today was day 1 of the Fish N Paddle Saltwater Slam kayak fishing tournament and there was some very good fishing. Tournament Director Brian Roberts weighed several different species of fish with some stud bluefish, rockfish and sheepshead in the mix. Here are the leaders after day 1.
Overall
3rd Tyler Clazey
2nd Morgan Mericle
1st Brian Scharle
Heaviest Daily
Rob English – 14 pound sheepshead

Tuna fishing was good for the offshore fleet today with a couple of limits of yellowfin coming to the docks this afternoon. Captain Brian Porter and his crew had a pile of nice yellowfin on today’s trip to the Poorman’s Canyon.

Captain Andrew Dotterweich of the Fish On had a tremendous day on today’s trip as well loading the dock with a limit of yellowfin tuna.

Captain Joe Drosey of Rhonda’s Osprey put his anglers on a load of tuna on today’s trip as well.

Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler reported a good bite with sea bass today with some flounder mixed in.

The Tortuga fishing out of Bahia Marina had a nice day with four keeper flounder on this afternoon’s trip.

Reece Schindler used some live bunker to catch his limit of flounder around the route 50 bridge this afternoon.
