There is some really good tuna fishing out there right now, but it is a hike to the north out of Ocean City Inlet. The good news is that these fish will eventually make their way south so hopefully they will get closer to Ocean City where more folks will be able to take advantage of the fishing. There’s also word that NOAA is looking into POSSIBLY opening the bluefin fishery back up this fall at some point, but I’ll believe that one when I see it.
The crew of the private boat Instigator with owner and Captain Steve Smith at the helm had another awesome trip up north to get on some of the tuna fish. Anglers Bailey, Brady, Ken, Andrew, Anna Leigh, Eric and Marc joined mates Steve and Matt Maggasey in putting 17 yellowfin tuna and 54 mahi in the fish box.

The crew of the Boss Hogg with Captain Alex Beane had a great trip to the canyon today with two white marlin releases and a pile of mahi.

Captain Chris Watkowski of the Spring Mix II showed his party a good time with a lineup of mahi for the fish cleaners.

Captain Jason Mumford of the Lucky Break continues his Ocean City inlet beat down with some more tautog, sheepshead and big spot for his anglers.

Scott and Chris Clasing had a great day of flounder fishing at the route 50 bridge putting 5 keepers in the boats over 18.5″. Scott had the big fish at 25″ and 6 pounds.
