HOT as Blazes!

HOT as Blazes!

Today was the first day of extreme heat that is forecast for Ocean City and surrounding over the next three days and it certainly was hot.  Temps reached into the mid 90s in some areas and the heat index felt like 106 this afternoon.  Tomorrow looks to be worse than today with just a small reprieve on the 4th of July and then temps slowly fall to reasonable by next week.  If you’re outside at all, stay hydrated and be safe!

The tuna bite wasn’t as hot as the weather today, but there were some nice fish caught by some.  The crew of the Pumpin’ Hard out of Sunset Marina had a nice day with six yellowfin tuna for the fish cleaners.  Photo by Sunset Marina.

Kelsi Beard caught this 18″ keeper flounder on a Deadly Double with a Gulp while fishing the Thorofare on her Dad’s boat Reel Problem with her mom as first mate and her nephews and nieces as witnesses.

Dave and Chase NeNeumayer found these two keeper flounder of 18.25″ and 19.5″ at the Route 50 bridge using Deadly Tackle Live Bait Rigs with big live minnows.
