Today was the first day of extreme heat that is forecast for Ocean City and surrounding over the next three days and it certainly was hot. Temps reached into the mid 90s in some areas and the heat index felt like 106 this afternoon. Tomorrow looks to be worse than today with just a small reprieve on the 4th of July and then temps slowly fall to reasonable by next week. If you’re outside at all, stay hydrated and be safe!
The tuna bite wasn’t as hot as the weather today, but there were some nice fish caught by some. The crew of the Pumpin’ Hard out of Sunset Marina had a nice day with six yellowfin tuna for the fish cleaners. Photo by Sunset Marina.

Captain Mark Hoos and his crew on the MARLI found three yellowfin tuna in the canyon on today’s trip.
