I’ve gotten a report from Captain Mark Hoos on the Marli that rockfishing in Solomon’s Island is really good right now.
There is a tough size limit on rockfish this trophy season with a slot from 36″ to 40″ that must be released which is forcing anglers to throw back some really nice fish.
Captain Mark does say that there are plenty of fish in the 28″to less than 36″ range for the taking, and some fish of 40″ + that are really making trophy anglers happy!
Captain Mark will be in Solomon’s for about a month if you’d like to get in on some of the action.
You can get in touch with Captain Mark and all of our other captains at Heading Offshore on the fishinoc.com homepage.
