Happy Mother’s Day to all you Moms out there!! It was a beautiful day to spend with family and/or be on the water doing some fishing….and there was some really good fishing to be had!
I had a couple of folks report in today they saw the most epic flounder bite they had ever seen. Several anglers had limits, other’s had a few keepers and tons of throwbacks and still others had some very nice fish. Let’s get to it.
Captain Will of Local Hooker Charters started his charter season off right today with a limit of very nice flounder for his anglers.

Assateague surf legend David Moore had an awesome day in the surf again today with some very nice striped bass caught and released. David had fish of 34″, 36″, 38″ and a whopping 49″ today.

Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters had a great day with Sam and Amy Powers putting them on a big bluefish, six keeper tautog and two keeper flounder on today’s trip.

Rich Daiker took Scott Andrews fishing today and they had an absolutely epic day of fishing. The guys had a limit of bluefish to 30″ and a limit of flounder up to 23″. The flounder were caught on Deadly Doubles in various colors baited with 4″ Gulp.

Big Bird Cropper fished solo today and saw some of the epic flounder bite. Bird had too many throwbacks to count and these two keepers at 19″.

Cary Vanden Broeke and crew found three keeper flounder and several throwbacks fishing behind Assateague Island today. Cary says the rig of choice was the Deadly Tackle Squidly.

Benjamin Bosley had some fun catching some throwback flounder with his dad today on the family p0ntoon boat. They had five throwback sized flounder on Deadly Tackle Squidly in Orange and Deadly Double chartreuse.
