It was a good day of tuna fishing for the charter fleet and good fishing for the second and final day of the Ocean City Marlin Club Kid’s Classic Tournament. There were yellowfin and bluefin caught in Massey’s Canyon (where there were over 100 boats) and yellowfin in the Baltimore Canyon. There was some good white marlin fishing in the Washington Canyon and at least one blue marlin released from the Norfolk.
The C-Boys with Captain Luke Blume and mate Jon Henry had a great day fishing the Kid’s Classic today! Captain Luke had his son Joshua and Joshua’s friends Jackson, Hunter and Foster. The kids did a great job catching a 47 pound yellowfin tuna and 25 mahi.
The Spring Mix II with Captain Chris Watkowski had mate Ayrton Pryor in the fighting chair today as an angler in the OCMC Kid’s Classic. Captain Chris put Ayrton on a beautiful blue marlin release and three mahi on ballyhoo just north of the Norfolk Canyon.
Captain Joe Drosey on the charter boat Rhonda’s Osprey out of Sunset Marina had a good day with the tuna fish. Captain Joe put his crew on one nice bluefin tuna and four nice yellowfin tuna. They also released three other bluefin tuna.
Bear at the Oceanic Pier submitted a photo of Jack from Lancaster, PA with this 33 1/2″ rockfish that he caught from the north sea wall on one of the pier’s live eels.
I had a photo text from Captain Mark Spagnola on Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing before I even woke up this morning with a cool shot of his shooters from last night with a nice cow nosed stingray.
My uncle Tim Spesick likes the Daily Angle so much that he wanted to be in it with this nice keeper rockfish that he caught today. I’m more than happy to oblige.
Congratulations to all of the 421 anglers that fished this weekend’s Kid’s Classic Tournament put on by the Ocean City Marlin Club. It was an awesome tournament with some awesome fishing! Congratulations to all of the winners!
