More Marli Stripers and Black Drum on the Oceanic Pier

The striper fishing over on the Chesapeake Bay continues to be red h0t for some boats.  Fish in OC charter partner Marli is one of those boats.  Captain Mark Hoos and mate Mark Stephens have got it down to a science and have been steady putting anglers on quality fish.

Today Brian Baxter and his crew whacked the rockfish with Captain Mark and mate Mark.  This is another limit of fish for the Marli with the largest weighing 40 pounds.

Things are beginning to heat up on the Oceanic Pier in downtown Ocean City.  I spoke to Bear last week and he reported that anglers are catching shad, bluefish, rockfish and decent numbers of tautog.

Chris Meister had a terrific day fishing the Oceanic Pier.  Chris caught several blowfish on bloodworms and caught four tautog and this beautiful 24″ black drum on green crabs.

The Oceanic Pier is a great spot to fish if you don’t have a boat. It’s great fishing, they have everything you need for fishing and you don’t need a license to fish the pier. Oceanic Pier
