The red hot striper fishing that we had at the route 90 bridges last week was curtailed badly this past weekend by the weather. Rain on Friday and Saturday turned to wind and eventually cold that hasn’t let up yet. The weather for the coming days shows a warming trend with less wind so hopefully we’ll see that fishery pick back up as the weather allows.
Captain Monty Hawkins from the Morning Star has been fishing a cold water bite for tautog and will be going again this Friday and Saturday, April 8 and 9. Click the link to Captain Monty’s Morning Star Fish Report to find out what’s biting and to get on board.
