New MONGO East Coast Bigeye Leader

New MONGO East Coast Bigeye Leader

Hit the vid for the Daily Catch at Sunset Marina!

We had another beautiful weather day and there were actually some tunas caught in the ocean…including a jumbo bigeye that took the lead in the East Coast MONGO tournament.

Captain Willie Zimmerman and his crew on RoShamBo had an awesome day in the canyon today when they caught this jumbo bigeye tuna that weighed in at 246.4 pounds.  The big “eyeball” took the lead in the bigeye division of the MONGO East Coast Division and would do some serious damage in this weekend’s Ocean City Tuna Tournament.

Just down the dock from RoShamBo, Captain Chris Little of the Talkin’ Trash had a good day for his folks putting them on five yellowfin tuna.

And just down the dock from Talkin’ Trash, Captain Chris Watkowski of the Spring Mix II had two yellowfin tuna.  Yesterday Spring Mix II had a stud yellowfin tuna at 97 pounds.

Lucas Ingley caught this nice yellowfin tuna fishing on board the private boat Island Time with Blair Rinnier.

Captain Kane Bounds of the Fish Bound has been seeing some very good fishing over the past week with big golden tilefish and limits of flounder on most trips.  Anglers are having terrific flounder fishing with some doormats up to 7.5 pounds.

Morgan Mericle, Kevin McNelis and Tyler Clazey found 11 keeper flounder in short time this afternoon in the back bay.

These anglers had a great time catching five keeper flounder in the south bay while fishing on the Bayside Guide Service.

Anglers fishing on the Tortuga out of Bahia Marina had keeper flounder on both trips to the bay today.

The Miss Ocean City has been taking advantage of the good flounder fishing the past few days with plenty of keeper fish going in the cooler.

Folks fishing with Backbay Adventures have been lucky enough to go home with some flounder fillets on recent trips.

Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler reported a good sea bass bite today with a couple flounder mixed in.

Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star had some good flounder fishing on board today.

Wooooorrrrked for my clients’ fish today! Had nearly 12 hrs in a flounder trip; an easy light rail of mainly long-time regulars at that. Darren was our only limit with Hurricane, Doc & Big Bill close behind. Could have sealed the deal with sea bass I think. But noooooo, I had to advertise fluke!
Tracy would have nailed a ‘longest fish’ pool several times – but Hurricanne pocketed the “flounder only” money with his fluke.
Oyyyyy.
Great mercy.. If I’d had today’s ever-changing drift conditions on a tog trip it might have pushed me over the edge.
Sea bass tomorrow!
Cheers!
Monty
Captain Marc Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing has had some great luck both day and night with rays and hound fish in the south bay.  The kid sharpshooters are even getting in on the action.

We had a crazy good time on the Bay Bee this weekend….Check out the fun…..Subscribe!
