We had a pretty stiff NE breeze for most of the day today which kept things a little cooler, but had the ocean roughed up enough that only the most nautical would venture out. Thankfully the breeze didn’t impact inshore fishing too much and there were some nice catches around.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters had a nice day of fishing the OC Inlet today with some keeper flounder and some nice bluefish. Captain Jason also found some throwback striper and tautog action for his crews.
Capitan Dave Caffrey of On the Run Charters had a nice day in the OC Inlet as well with bluefish, stripers, flounder, tautog and even a kingfish on the menu for today’s anglers.
Luke Wrye caught a big bluefish at the Route 50 bridge and used the Deadly Tackle Double Header to land an 18.5″ sheepshead at the south jetty.
Lamont Hilbert fished in the wind today and found some keeper flounder in the OC Inlet.
Cade Campbell, 17 years old of Nazareth, Pa. Caught an 18” flounder on a Roy Rig at the South Jetty last week along with some small blue fish.
Cade was fishing on the private boat Reel Addiction with his Grandparents Mike and Margaret Orchulli.
Captain Marc Spagnola is one of little sleep these days, but his clients don’t mind as they’re seeing some great shooting both day and night for rays and some big gar.
Anglers fishing with Captain Chase Eberle on Chasin’ Tides Charters had a nice day in the back bay today with flounder, stripers and bluefish.
