It was a beautiful day on the ocean today and fishing was awesome! There were only a few reports that came in since it was a weekday, but they were good reports.
Chris Lee and his crew had to end their overnight trip early today on the charter boat MARLI with Captain Mark Hoos and mate Mark Stephens. They ran out of room in the fish box after catching 18 big yellowfin tuna and a bluefin tuna. The trip will continue tomorrow morning after unloading the big catch at Sunset Marina. The bite is on!

Captain Chris Mizurak on the party boat Angler reported good sea bass and flounder fishing today. The Angler had sea bass and flounder up to three pounds.

Captain Monty Hawkins on the party boat Morning Star got in on the fishing action himself today. Captain Monty caught, tagged and released a big 21″ sea bass that was easily four pounds.

Captain Monty fired up the engines again this afternoon for Paul Fohner and his family and friends for a short afternoon trip that Paul purchased at the Ocean City Reef Foundation annual dinner a few months ago. The kids had a great time catching spanish mackerel, bluefish and one bullet mackerel. Dave Messick and I were on board for what should be a really good upcoming episode of Hooked on OC.
