I’ll start tonight’s report with some inshore flounder action that was just stellar. Captain John Prather on Ocean City Guide Service ventured outside the inlet to an ocean wreck and well……wrecked the flounder! He returned to the dock with 18 keepers including a beautiful 27″, 7.3 pounder! All of the fish were caught on strips of bluefish.
The Marli with Captain Mark Hoos returned from a 30 hour overnight trip yesterday and had something awesome to report. This group of Pennsylvania anglers had a great night in the Washington Canyon on the charter boat MARLI with Captain Mark Hoos and Mate Mark Stephens. They went 3 out of five on Bigeye Tunas and caught 8 gaffer Dolphins. Plenty of tuna for the freezer….
Today was day 1 of The Ocean City Marlin Club “Heels and Reels” Tournament with scales action taking place at Sunset Marina from 5PM – 7:30PM. The ladies have a way of showing us guys how to catch some fish, and today was a perfect example of some awesome angling by them.
Here is how the leaderboard looks after day 1 action.
