We had the warmest day of 2025 so far today with temps in the upper 60s and sunny skies for most of the afternoon. The wind was up just a hair this afternoon, but the ocean was plenty doable and there was some good tautog fishing. The first flounder of the OC season is in the back bay, it’s just a matter of time before someone finds it.
I had a great night of fishing last night with my buddy Brian Reynolds around the Route 90 bridge. We had steady catch and release striper action for about 3 hours releasing 42 fish up to 27.5″. Video to come. Awesome fun!

Captain Kane Bounds and his crew aboard the Fish Bound had a great day of tautog fishing today with some quality fish coming aboard. The water is still cold so anglers had to work for every bite, but there were fish up to 16 pounds in Kevin Twilley’s net that were released by Fish Bound today.

Captain Chase Eberle and his crew on Chasin’ Tides Charters had a great day with the tautog as well putting several nice “eater” sized fish in the box and releasing several other fish in the double digits. Captain Chase even got to enjoy some tautog from the grill on today’s trip.
