Off to a Good Start

Off to a Good Start

It was windy today in Ocean City…..REAL WINDY!  The ocean was closed to fishermen today thanks to a strong wind and rough sea conditions and it was blowing hard enough that even inshore fishermen had a really tough go of it.  I only had two reports come in today thanks to the tough fishing and one of them was from yesterday.

When you’re a fisherman like I am and a lot of you that read this are, you know that some years are good and some years are just “eh”.  Well Tim Babikow is off to a really good start this year.  Less than a week after being on board the Reel Buster with angler Dave Taylor when he caught the first white marlin of the season, Tim and his crew from Nottingham, MD had a great day on the charter boat Marli with Captain Mark Hoos and mate Mark Stephens.  Yesterday Tim and his crew boxed 5 yellowfin tuna, released another 17 shorts and topped the day off with a big 61″, 130 pound bluefin tuna.  That’s a great day on the ocean.  If Tim’s fishing luck keeps up he’s going to expand on an already awesome season.

The only report to come in from today was from my buddy Captain Marc Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing.  Captain Marc reported that it was REAL windy in the bay today, but he was able to make it happen putting his shooters on some cow nosed and southern ray action.
