Offshore Fishing is Right Around the Corner

Offshore Fishing is Right Around the Corner

It’s an exciting time in Ocean City right now!  Offshore boats that have been sitting on the parking lots are starting to go back in the water and prepare for the fishing season which should be picking up in less than a month.

The first Mako of the season was caught back in March, but I think most things will be about on time.

Bluefish and sharks in May, Tunas show up in good numbers in June, and White Marlin, Blue Marlin, Wahoo and Dolphin fishing picks up in July and run through the fall.

The first tournament of the season is only a month away in the Ocean City Marlin Club’s 6th Annual Memorial Day Tournament May 22-24.

I’m looking forward to a terrific offshore fishing and tournament season here in Ocean City, and it’s about to jump off!
