Hit the vid for the Daily Catch at Sunset Marina!
With 15 boats fishing the first 32 hour window of the Big Fish Classic we had a feeling that things might be a little slow on day 1, but you add in there some really nice weather offshore, and exactly zero boats decided to head back to the Talbot Street Pier to weigh fish. There are some confirmed catches of yellowfin tuna and Captain Austin Ensor of the Primary Search has a bigeye that is “a real one”, but as of right now the leaderboard is completely open. Good luck to everyone fishing the Big Fish Classic this weekend as all boats will be on the water tomorrow. Scales open at 4 PM….. I’ll see you at Talbot Street!
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters had a nice day of flounder fishing in some clean back bay water. Anglers saw keepers and plenty of throwbacks on both trips.
Big Bird Cropper and Shawn Flaherty had a nice day of Roy Rigging today with some bluefish and two keeper flounder. Most of the action took place at the route 50 bridge on the outgoing tide.
David Lee caught his personal best keeper flounder of 22″ while fishing from Homer Gudelsky Park today.
David Moore was in the Assateague Island suds last night where he had success with the red drum. David beached and released 7 fish from 35″ to 44″.
