We’ve had some decent temperatures over the past several days, but we’ve had to deal with wind and we had some pretty good rain on Friday. Fishing interests are going to take a bigger hit now that the clocks have turned back as shorter days will certainly limit fishing time. There are still plenty of fish to be caught and I’ll be bringing you reports as long as I get them.
I was happy to get a text from Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler today with the simple phrase, “Pics on FB.” Captain Chris will post catch photos on their Facebook page so its pretty convenient for me to just swipe them from there for the Daily Angle. Angler had a good day on the ocean today with sea bass up to 3.25 pounds and some triggerfish.
There are more and more tog showing up in the inlet and back bays as the water temperatures cool down this fall. Ryan Esposito of the Ocean City Fishing Community landed this tog from the rocks this afternoon.
My little buddy Grayson Wooldridge was fishing with his dad John this afternoon when he caught his first rockfish of the fall. John reported really low, murky water, but they were still able to get this fish to bite. They also hooked, but lost a speckled trout.
My son Ryan and I have been having some good luck at the local pond catching some stud sunfish and some nice largemouth bass. I always enjoy getting out to spend some time with him and catching fish makes it that much better.
