Plenty of Tautog Around

Plenty of Tautog Around

After about a month and a half it is finally raining!  We’ve had some very dry conditions over the past several weeks so the rain I’m listening to right now is a welcome sound.  Unfortunately it also comes with a little wind so things might not be too calm in the ocean for a bit.  No sweat there, there is some great fishing in the bay right now.

Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters was out on the south jetty again today with some young anglers and showed them a really good time per usual.  The kids had a great time catching a bunch of tautog including a couple of fish over the 16″ minimum size.

Ryan Ellerman of R.E. Real Estate Appraisal caught some tautog at Martha’s Landing this evening using green crabs with this 17.5″ keeper going in the cooler.
