Today was a really nice weather day both inshore and offshore. There were 73 boats that took advantage of the nice conditions offshore to fish their day for the 23rd Annual Poor Girl’s Open at Bahia Marina. There will be 58 boats fishing tomorrow and they are going to have their work cut out for them. There’s nothing on the board that can’t be beat, but there are some nice billfish release totals and some big fish in the categories. Here’s what things look like after two days of all ladies action.

Captain Joe Drosey on Rhonda’s Osprey is making a great showing so far in the Poor Girls Open. Captain Joe put his lady anglers on a grand slam today releasing a white marlin, a sailfish and a spearfish. Captain Joe said that it was the biggest spear he’s ever seen and I would have to agree.
Captain Luke Blume on the C-Boys with mate Jon Henry held a spot in the dolphin category in the Poor Girls for a short time today before being bumped, but also released a blue marlin on today’s trip and got some cool shots.
It was another stellar day of flounder fishing aboard the Angler with Captain Chris Mizurak today. Captain Chris put his anglers on some good flounder action with several limits around the rail with the biggest fish weighing in at 5 pounds.
Captain Marc Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing had a good day in the back bay today. Captain Marc put his shooters on some good southern ray action including a big 90 pounder.
