We had a pretty nasty day today in and around Ocean City with cool temps and rain for most of the day. There wasn’t much wind to speak of, but the rain certainly dampened the spirits of a lot of anglers. If you got out for the few hours it wasn’t raining or didn’t mind getting a little wet there was still some pretty good fishing to take advantage of.
Captain Brian Behe of Buffalo Hunter Guide Service had a trip in Wachapreague, VA today that involved dodging some rain drops, but it was well worth the effort. Captain Brian reported that it was far from a washout and that he and his crew pretty much had the waterways to themselves for the duration of the trip…..and it was a good trip too! Captain Brian put his anglers on several throwback flounder and eight keeper sized fish that wound up in the box.

Mike Razmus was able to get out on the route 50 bridge today to do some casting in between rain events and had some success. Mike used Big Bird’s World Famous Roy Rig to catch and release some healthy stripers.

Action at the Oceanic Pier in downtown Ocean City was good over the weekend with lots of bluefish and shad. Bob Haltmeier reports that the fish have gotten a little larger too with some blues coming over the rail at larger than 24″.
