We had another beautiful fall day in Ocean City today, but being a Monday fishing pressure wasn’t quite as busy as it was yesterday. There were still a couple of boats that got out to the canyons in search of tuna where Captain Jeremy Blunt of the Wrecker captured three yellowfins, but for the most part it was a bottom fishing kind of day.
The party boat fleet had another nice day of sea bassin’ today with lots of fish coming over the rail. Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler reported having to week through the spiny dog sharks, but in the end it was worth it as just about everybody on board had a limit of sea bass. There were also some nice chopper sized bluefish landed today.
Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star also reported having to deal with dog sharks, but he also reported good fishing despite them. Dennis Cutcher of Catonsville, MD took today’s sea bass pool – Russ & Rusty Haimes of Manasquan, NJ had a nice triggerfish – Chuck Burnham limited out on sea bass – also pictured are Mike, Nathan, & Gabriel Streb plus Craig O’Neil & Joel Young all from Lancaster, PA. Captain Monty says the forecast for tomorrow is doable and will be going on a scheduled 9 hour trip where he has been doing really well and has space around the rail if you’re looking for some sea bass.
Captain Stu Windsor of the Lisa had Ned Ewell and Sparky White on board today for some sea bass action. The guys pulled into the Talbot Street Pier this afternoon with a limit of sea bass.
Over the weekend Captain Victor Bunting on board the Ocean Princess experienced some “lock and load” sea bass fishing as well with limits around the rail with some nice fish in the mix.
