away from the tournament, Dan Cavey and his crew had an awesome day of bottom fishing with the limit of sea bass from inshore structure.

Captain Dave Caffrey of On The Run charters has had a nice weekend with some bluefish and some keeper flounder.

Captain Mark Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn bow fishing, kept his shooters busy today with some nice rays from the south bay.

Captain Chris Mizurak of the Angler reported that fishing was so so today, but he was still able to put his anglers on some Seabass and a couple of keeper flounder.

Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star enjoyed beautiful weather and good fishing on today’s trip.

Private charter? Naa, just a really light rail. Gorgeous day though. Jamie gave a pair of pyramids a push atop Al Berger’s Reef and off we went..
Tried mahi a couple times. Water near perfect for inshore these days & 77 degrees – even had flying fish. I had hope.
But no.
I expect we’ll have em back inshore again soon.
Wasn’t a mahi trip anyway so I quickly went back to plan A.
Sea bass bite was on.
Who can figure.
My six guys (Yup! 6!) caught almost every drop all day. Mark took bragging rights (and very little money!) for today’s pool.
We also had the very first under-9 inch male of 2024 today..
Calm.
Cool.
Great bite.
Wonderful day.
Tomorrow is a mahi trip advertised with sea bass as a back up. They’ve got to be here again any moment..
Hoping for pics of beautiful fish tomorrow!
Have openings for Tuesday’s cbass run…
Cheers,
Monty

three year old Peyton Corey got this Spanish mackerel after an osprey dropped it on the beach Right in front of him.

Dave, Jared, and David caught these keeper flounder between 17 1/2 and 21 inches in front of the commercial harbor on minnows.

Check out our new YouTube with a limit of flounder!!
