Opening day of the 2015 sea bass season did not disappoint today! The Judith M out of Bahia Marina had an awesome start to the season with several sea bass and ling cod.
The Judith will also be fishing Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Trip is $43 and will run from 8 AM – 2:30 PM.
Inshore, the flounder fishing was really good this afternoon on the outgoing tide. The Bay Bee out of the Ocean City Fishing Center had several bluefish and 10 flounder on their afternoon trip.
Offshore, Captain Austin Ensor and crew went 6 for 9 on yellowfin tuna on the Matetrix II. They found a 64 to 66 degree break in 120 fathoms of the Baltimore Canyon. All of the fish were caught on ballyhoo and spreader bars. The largest fish was caught by Josh Ensor and weighed 41 pounds. The rest of the crew included Corbin Ensor and Bob Ewers.
After a long, cold winter, the fishing season is getting off to a really hot start!
