Another day of beautiful weather today and some decent sea bass fishing for Captain Monty and crew.
Sea Bassing in light westerlies..
Got a bit of a headstart this fine morning. Inlet was plenty calm; ocean calmer still. Took today’s 24 reef blocks to Don Calder’s Memorial Reef where James sent a block unit by the stern rail, followed by Ms Helen sending the last of our loose ones overboard. From there we pressed on a bit before fishing began.
While conditions were far better to begin with, I sure wouldn’t have described the bite similarly – some were chewing at least.
And, like yesterday, the bite improved as the day went along.
Worked.
One fellow had a limit while Marty took everyone’s pool money.
Will open another day soon..
(sounder pic is one of many schools of bait where whales were feeding..)
Cheers,
Monty![]()
