Today started the 34th Annual Seaside Boat Show at the Ocean City Convention Center put on by the Ocean City – Berlin Optimist Club. The Seaside Boat Show is the “Boat Show That Works for Kids” because income taken in by the boat show and other programs will benefit thousands of young people through programs dedicated to providing assistance and opportunity. The Ocean City – Berlin Optimist are one of the area’s leading civic organizations thanks in big part to the Annual Seaside Boat Show.
Along with approximately 350 boats, 50 boat dealers and over 150 exhibitors, the highlight of the show is the grand prize giveaway donated by Fish in OC sponsor North Bay Marina. For the past 28 years North Bay Marina has donated the grand prize and this year it is a beautiful Sweetwater pontoon boat complete with engine. All you need to do to enter to win is buy a pass for the boat show and enter your name in the drawing…that’s it. The boat and sign up are in the Dockside hall on the first floor of the show.
There are several Fish in OC partners at the OC Seaside Boat Show this year so I thought I’d take a couple of pictures and let you know where you can find them if you’d like to attend the show.
Starting right as you walk in the front entrance you will find Indian River Marina. Jill and the folks from the marina are there with marina and slip information and the Indian River charter fleet is right next to them on the first floor right inside the main entrance.
A lot of the boats at the show can be found on the first floor in Hall A & B. Grand prize giveaway sponsor North Bay Marina is in booth #209 and has a great display with several boats available to view and walk around. They also have Suzuki engines available to view in the Dockside Room.
Harbor Marine is in booth #206 right next to North Bay in Hall A and B. They also have a very nice display of boats to peruse and a large selection of Evinrude engines to look at including the new ETech.
Up the stairs and down the hallway to the right in room 215 you will find Captain Monty Hawkins and the folks from the Ocean City Reef Foundation. The OC Reef Foundation is in booth #840 and has all sorts of info and photos of reef foundation work and Ocean City Reef Foundation charts are available for just $50.
Just down the hallway in the East room you will find Fish in OC sponsors Okiaya fishing rods, An Optical Galleria and The Ocean City Fishing Center. Kathy from the Ocean City Fishing Center and Jake from Sunset Marina are in booth # 507 and have boatel and slip information for both ports. They also have a flier for the President’s Day Sale going on over at Atlantic Tackle in West Ocean City. This is a BLOWOUT sale at Atlantic Tackle that you should stop over and see with end of season pricing on most brands.
Right next to The Ocean City Fishing Center in booth #506 is Okiaya fishing rods. Sophia has a huge selection of Okiaya products on sale at crazy good prices. If you are in the market for something big, she’s got an 80 Wide on a 100# bent butt for just $630…..that’s the combo price!
On the second floor on the far west side of the building in the 2nd floor ballroom you will find White Marlin Open Tee Shirts, Racetrack Marine, Island Watersports and Fish in OC / Hooked on OC.
White Marlin Open is just inside the entrance in booth #418 and they have crazy prices on last year’s tee shirt inventory. 2016 tees are only $10 or you can get three for $25. The new 2017 White Marlin Open tee is just $25 and long sleeve are $35.
Mike and the guys from Island Watersports are just down the wall in booth 414. Mike has some awesome boat show pricing on pontoon boats and Scarab Jet Boats. He also has stand up paddle boards and a new line of skiffs that you’ve got to check out.
Racetrack Marine is around the corner in booth #435. Racetrack is offering $20 off a purchase of $200 or more or 15% off parts and accessories (excluding electronics). Racetrack has one of the cool Sundance skiffs that they offer on display for you to take a look at and walk around if you’d like.
Last, but certainly not least Fish in OC and Hooked on OC are in booth 443. We’ve got Hooked on OC short sleeve tees for $15 or three for $40 and we’ve got Hooked on OC long sleeves for $20. Mix and match any three short or long sleeve for just $50. We just got a fresh stock so stop by and grab one while they last….or just stop by and talk fishing. The Ocean City Seaside Boat Show is open Saturday, February 18 from 10 AM until 7 PM and Sunday, February 19 from 10 AM until 5 PM.
