I just got home from the Ocean City Fishing Center after fishing with my son Ryan in the 16th Annual September 11th Memorial Spot Tournament and we had an absolute blast.  This tournament was set up after the horrifying events of September 11, 2001 when our great nation fell under attack and was forever changed.  The September 11 Spot Tournament helps us get together with friends and family and fellow Americans to have fun on a day that we will never forget.  Here are the winners.

Huge thanks to Jennifer Blunt, weigh master “Greenie” and OCFC General Manager Rolfe Gudelsky for putting on a really fun and overall awesome event.  You can tell from this photo that Rolfe and the kids have fun!

Away from the tournament Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters was at it again in the inlet and had another awesome day of fishing.  Captain Jason put his crew on a mixed bag of flounder, tautog, sheepshead and some big croaker.

Pat Bloom from Fairfax, VA. caught this 17 1/2″, 2 pound flounder in the east channel on a shiner and squid combo while fishing on the Tortuga with Captain Drew Zerbe and mate Serge Garder.
