The crazy weather that we had roll through Ocean City yesterday afternoon was off in the canyons today and made it WAY too rough for anyone to consider fishing. Tomorrow’s weather looks like a wash too, but then it starts to calm down on Tuesday so the offshore fleet will be back at it mid week. It was even rough inshore today but we had week one of NFL football so nobody really missed the day off.
This kind of weather always happens in September as the northwest winds begin to blow ushering in the change of the season. This is the time of year when we start to have more unfishable days in a week then we do fishable days so we take advantage of the days that we can go and make the most of them. The fishing is still awesome so if you have flexible dates, especially during the week, give us a call and book a trip for some of the best fishing of the year.
Captain Jeremy Blunt on board The Wrecker out of The Ocean City Fishing Center put what we deal with perfectly in his Facebook post this morning….
Yesterday’s weather was crazy on the ride home, the wind blew from every direction with heavy rain and a cool temperature drop. When we got to the dock it was raining too hard for pictures of the crew with their catch. We caught 3 White marlin and 17 dolphin.
