It was a solemn day today with the 24th anniversary of 9/11, but the weather was nice and the fish were biting.
There has been a very good bite for sheepshead over the past several days and that bite continued today with some very good fishing. Captain Dave Caffrey of On the Run had a great day at the south jetty with keeper flounder, keeper tautog and several nice sheepshead.
Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star was out for a sea trial today after some engine repair and you know he had to drop a line while he and the crew were out.
Pressed Shelly and the boys into taking the old girl out for a sea trial this afternoon about 3.. Naturally we had to test the anchor winch too…
Have room for two on a sea bass trip tomorrow.
