I got out on the bay today to do a little fishing since the wind was the lightest it’s been all week. Temperatures were cool and the wind didn’t let up much, but it was sunny and I caught a couple of fish. I hit Martha’s Landing with some shrimp and some Deadly Tackle tog jigs and caught several tog with one keeper sized fish. I also had a 27″ rockfish at the Route 50 bridge that I released as well. Fun day on the water!
My neighbor Brian Mills was fishing with Rick Gorsuch on his very nice boat using a live sand flea in the OC Inlet when he found this rogue sheepshead. The big “convict” fish was over 25″ and most likely over 10 pounds.
Our OC Inshore Classic winners, team Rockin’ N Reelin’ were at it again today catching and releasing this nice 35″ rockfish at the Route 50 bridge.
Got this photo from Mr. Cross who caught and released three rockfish from 18″ to 24″.
