It was pretty decent day on the beach as far as January goes with decent high temperatures and light winds. The weatherman got Captain Monty Hawkins of the Morning Star a little today with a forecast that was better than the delivered product, but he was still able to scratch out some keeper tautog for his crew. Tomorrow’s weather looks reely good and Captain Monty’s got some spots at the rail if you’re so inclined.
Hi Scott,
Have spots for tomorrow . . Supposed to be less than 5 knots by late morning..
No great shakes today. Some caught dinner is about it.
Had throwbacks of course. Did tag a few of those, but no jumbos were tagged today.
Weatherman promised a calm day — unable to deliver! Winds were over 20 knots most of the day. Thankfully they also switched all day: went from SSW to N so never built a set. (didn’t get too rough)
Weather’s supposed to be plenty fine tomorrow.
Supposed to!

With some huge help and a blessing from our good friend Dale Timmons we have been able to bring back the Deadly Double flounder rig and the Croaker Smoker bottom rig that were staples on the fishing scene here in Ocean City when Dale first designed them. You can purchase them at Atlantic Tackle in West Ocean City, Raceway Citgo on route 50 or online here Fish in OC.com/ shop
