We had a nice day today with warmer temps and sunny skies and for finally the wind wasn’t an issue for anglers. There are some black drum being caught in the Assateague surf, there are rockfish at route 50 and 90, there are some flounder being caught in shallow water and the tog fishing in the ocean is pretty good as well. It’s been a slowish start, but things are getting going.
Captain Kane Bounds of the Fish Bound has had some successful tautog trips in the past week. Anglers fishing on Fish Bound have had mostly limits of nice “roaster” sized fish along with some releases up into the double digits.

Bryan Mindte of Sunset Provisions fished the route 90 bridge this afternoon and had some fun catch and release rockfish action.

Big Bird Cropper is back on the water and today he was able to find a few short rockfish while fishing the route 50 bridge.

Join us for another Fish in OC Fishing Trip and Seminar on board the Angler Saturday, June 7. Info and tickets here….
