Looks like we might get a little rain and maybe a thunderstorm or two starting tomorrow, but today it was sunny, warm and pleasant so it was a great day to get on the water.
Last week Danny Cox of West Ocean City, and Greg Volpitta of Monkton, MD, fished the 33rd Annual Capt. Zed’s Flounder Tournament in Wachapreague, VA. On Sunday, they caught their limit of flounder. Danny caught the biggest one measuring 26 inches and weighing 6 lbs, 3 oz., big enough to win third place. Congratulations!
Kirk Russell and John Fremming have had some good fishing in OC’s back bay the past couple of day with some nice flounder up to 3.5 pounds.
Brian Weibley of PA caught these two keeper flounder behind Assateague Island that measured 17.5″ and 19″.
Eric Hess caught this nice 19″ keeper flounder on Gulp and minnows while fishing the Thorofare on the boat Stormin’ Norman II.
