It was warm and pretty windy today with a stiff breeze out of the south directions. So breezy, in fact, that the ocean was pretty closed for business so not much going on there. There were some folks out on the bay and there were some bent rods, and I expect to see even more as we head toward the weekend.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters is a back bay aficionado and his clients appreciate it on a daily basis. Captain Jason has been able to put them on good fishing for flounder, bluefish, some tautog and sheepshead and even one big ass ribbon fish. All of which came from the south jetty or back bays.
Captain Jon Azato of No Limit Sportfishing out of Indian River, DE has had some really good ocean flounder fishing over the past several trips with some limits of four fish per person and some very nice fish in the mix.
Yesterday, Brian Yakimowicz, Kurt Greening and Jerry Michelin had a great Father’s Day catching some sea bass near the Jackspot.
