Some Keeper Rock From the Bay and Finally Some Sea Bass

Some Keeper Rock From the Bay and Finally Some Sea Bass

Today was the nicest day we’ve had in a little while with seasonal temps, sunny skies and light winds.  The wind started blowing again this evening and will again tomorrow so the calmness was short lived.  There are still some rockfish, flounder, tog and sheepshead being caught in the back bays, and we finally got a photo with some sea bass in it again.

Captain Dave Caffrey of On the Run had a nice day for his angels today with a good catch of sea bass along with some triggerfish and tautog.

Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break had a nice trip in the bay today with a 22″ keeper flounder and some keeper tautog for his party.

Big Bird Cropper dredged up this nice 29″ keeper rockfish at the Route 50 bridge.

Sarah Fleming caught her first ever tautog fishing with Blake Gunther today.  The couple had over 50 fish on Deadly Tackle bottom jigs.

Josh Valliant had some fun catching and releasing some rockfish along marsh edges in the back bay and also boxed this nice 30″ fish.
