The sweltering heat was finally gone today and except for a little rain this morning it was actually pretty nice out. There wasn’t much wind to speak of so there were some folks out on the water catching some fish.
In last night’s report I mentioned are awesome flounder fishing on board the Angler, but I forgot to mention that I caught the first mahi of the season for the Angler. It was a short 15″ fish, but will still be good for some fish tacos. We saw a small school of mahi cruising around the boat and that will become more and more regular as water temps warm up. They caught at least one more mahi on the Angler today along with some more flounder and some sea bass.
Anglers fishing on board the Boss Hogg with Captain Alex Beane had a good time today putting four very nice yellowfin tuna in the box.
Captain Dale Lisi of Foolish Pleasures had a decent day for his folks with a white marlin release and a pile of blueline tilefish.
Captain
Captain Kyle Pelino of OC Guide Service had a great day over ocean structure putting these guys on a limit of flounder with a couple of sea bass.
Captain Will Poole of Local Hooker Fishing Charters found three nice keeper flounder and a bunch of throwbacks in the back bay today for his group.
Jesse Harman of Bahia Marina along with Brad and Ali Boyer had a great day fishing the Thorofare with 10 keeper flounder on green Gulp and flounder belly.
Join us for another in-person registration for the Flounder Royale this Saturday, July 11 from 10 AM until Noon at Kohr’s Outdoors in Millville, DE.
