We had a “refreshing” breeze out of the northeast today that kept the ocean closed for business and tropical storm Chris off the coast of North Carolina is forecast to become a hurricane over the next day or so. The good news about Chris is that he is supposed to stay well offshore which should only mean a swell even for offshore fishermen. The even better news is that Chris is supposed to be out of the area in plenty of time for next weekend’s Ocean City Tuna Tournament.
It was surely breezy today and conditions in the bay were tough, but Captain John Prather of Ocean City Guide Service got it done once again and put his anglers on some good flounder fishing. This morning Captain John had some young anglers from Chambersburg, PA on board and had three nice keepers and this afternoon it was another nice flounder for a junior angler.

Captain Dave Caffrey of On the Run Charters sent me a photo after last night’s report was up with a nice catch of flounder. Captain Dave fished the last part of light on a good tide and put four keepers in the box.

Captain Marc Spagnola of Dusk to Dawn Bowfishing was out in the t0ugh conditions this morning trying to find some good targets for his shooters. Like usual Captain Marc found the clean water and some good action putting some southern rays and a houndfish in the boat.
