Still Some White Marlin and Mahi Out There

Check out the above vid for the Daily Catch at Sunset Marina!

I had the pleasure of heading out with some of the crew of Sunset Provisions today aboard the RoShamBo with Captain Willie Zimmerman and mate Joey Marowski III.  We fished the Washington Canyon where we bailed a bunch of nice mahi and I caught and released a white marlin and Sam caught and released his first ever white marlin.  Sam’s white marlin was huge at 72″ long with a girth of 34″…..that is massive!  We did the formula for figuring billfish weights and it estimated that this fish could be 105 pounds.  It was an awesome day of fishing and should make for a great new episode of Hooked on OC!

Noah Coleman of Kohr Crabbing & Fishing Supplies caught some very nice bluefish at the route 50 bridge.   Noah had blues of 25″, 28″ and this big 33″ fish.

Kristen and I caught some blues last week, Check it out!
