Stripers In A Tropical Storm

Stripers In A Tropical Storm

Hope the marlin are still around after the blow!!  Check out the vid with Captain Andrew of Fish ON!

Ophelia may not be Ophelia anymore and she only impacted us for a day or so, but what’s left of her may still have impacts on us for days.  Tomorrow looks nice with light winds and small seas, but the forecast for the rest of the week is not good.  We might not get back into the ocean after tomorrow until at least Friday.  Let’s hope forecasters are wrong.

While the wind was blowing yesterday there were a few breaks in the rain and conditions were ok enough for a couple of guys to get down to the route 50 bridge and do some rockfishing.  Sometimes during a northeast blow fishing can be very good around the OC inlet and route 50 bridge area as lots of bait from the ocean gets pushed in by high water and lots of tide.  Yesterday that was exactly the case and Austin Wagner and Morgan Mericle took full advantage of it.  They caught a bunch of stripers and even had their limit of one fish each between 28″ and 31″.

Caught a good flounder before Ophelia…check it out and Subscribe!
