The wind wasn’t blowing today, and it wasn’t raining……much, but the fog was very, very thick at times. Thankfully the wind and the rain are the main deterrents to folks getting out fishing so we did see some reports come in this afternoon.
The water in the back bays is kinda dirty right now after the weather, but there are some stripers cruising the OC inlet and Route 50 bridge and today some folks were able to put a couple keepers in the box. Colton Rhoad caught a nice 29″ slot rockfish at the Route 50 bridge today, and Matt Katz released a very nice 35″ striper both while fishing on their private boat Katz Pajamas.
Rich Daiker was fishing Jayda Rinker, who caught a 24″ striper on a Roy Rig, and Gabriel Kristi who found a 29″ slot keeper on a Roy Rig as well.
Christian Boyd and his crew combined forces to catch 10 stripers at the Route 50 bridge today with three keeper sized fish going in the cooler. They also caught some tautog that were released.
