Things are slowly, but surely picking up on the fishing front in and around OC, but the weather just won’t get straight on a consistent basis. Wind has been the main culprit this spring, and over the last few days rain has entered into the equation. We can’t complain too much because it is spring time and if you pick your days there is plenty to catch out there.
Captain Jason Mumford of Lucky Break Charters had a couple of nice trips today that had keeper tautog on the cleaning table for one group and keeper flounder headed to Lake Crisco for another group.

Captain Dave Caffrey of On the Run Charters had some good tautog action today including one big tog for the back bay that measured out at 19.5″.

Officer Mike Dzurnak fished the Assateague Surf today and landed this very nice 31″ black drum on a sand flea / Fishbites combo on a fish finder rig.

Caleb Powell and friend used Deadly Double’s baited with orange Gulp to land six keeper flounder yesterday morning.
